CYGNO COLLABORATION MEETING 2021
The CYGNO experiment (a CYGNus module with Optical readout) aims at exploiting the optical readout approach of multiple-GEM structures in large volume TPC for the study of rare events as interactions of low mass Dark Matter or Solar Neutrinos. The combined use of high-granularity sCMOS camera and fast light sensors allows the reconstruction of the 3D direction of the tracks, offering good energy resolution and very high sensitivity in the few keV energy range, together with a very good particle identification useful to distinguish nuclear recoils from electronic recoils. This experiment is part of the CYGNUS proto-collaboration which aims at establishing a multi-site multi-target Galactic Directional Recoil Observatory to probe the Dark Matter hypothesis below the Neutrino Floor and measure Solar Neutrinos with directionality.
The first CYGNO international collaboration meeting will be held at the Gran Sasso Science Institute in L'Aquila the 20th and 21st December 2021 to discuss the latest developments and updates.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please, register as soon as possible through the registration form. The CYGNO Collaboration Meeting 2021 participation is completely free of charge, but we need to know how many people will come in person and visit Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso as soon as possible for organisational reasons.
Please book the hotel room as soon as possible to ensure availability, given the high room requests for the meeting period. See Accommodation for details.
Gran Sasso Science Institute is located about 120 km from Rome, easily reachable by bus. See How to reach GSSI for details.
We are going to visit Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso and the underground LIME setup on the 21st December morning. Please, confirm in the registration form your attendance if you wish to participate. See LNGS visits for details.
