We would like to remind you that the sixth edition of the international symposium on Ultra-High-Energy Cosmic Rays, UHECR2022, will be held in L'Aquila, Italy, from October 3 to 7, 2022 (www.uhecr2022.gssi.it)
The workshop will cover recent results from UHECR observations, theoretical developments, and future plans. Moreover invited review talks will be given on the following topics:
- UHECR sources
- Astrophysics of CR accelerators
- CR acceleration processes
- Magnetic fields and UHECR propagation
- Transition from galactic to extragalactic CRs
- Results from high energy direct measurements and future prospects
- Multi-messenger connections of UHECRs
- Hadronic interactions studies at LHC (TBC)
- Beyond Standard Model physics with UHECRs (TBC)
In addition, contributed plenary talks will cover all the main aspects of the field and poster sessions will be organized.
Please register and submit your abstract, through the workshop web page, till July 25 (postponed to August 5). We will notify acceptance of abstracts to authors by the end of July (postponed to August 25).
UHECR 2022 will be held in person, in compliance with the relevant COVID-19 regulations at the time of the meeting. Participants will be anyway limited to the first 150 registrants.
The symposium will take place in the city center of L'Aquila and will be hosted by the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI). A visit to the underground Gran Sasso laboratory (LNGS) will be organized in the afternoon of October 5, and all the sessions of the same day will be held in the LNGS Auditorium.
The registration fee is 350€ and includes coffee breaks, social dinner, proceedings, bus transfer for the guided visit to the underground Gran Sasso laboratory, bus transfer from Rome FCO airport to L'Aquila on October 2.
Information for payment is available on the workshop web site. Late registration fee, after August 5 (postponed to August 31), will be 450€.
A limited number of reduced fees for master or PhD students is available. Students willing to apply for fee reduction should send an email to uhecr2022@gssi.it, including a one page CV, not later than July 25.
L'Aquila is not a big city, so even if the first week of October is not a peak time for tourism, we suggest you to make your reservations well in advance in one of the Hotels and B&Bs in the city center (at walking distance from the conference venue) or in the surroundings.
