Where to eat
You can find a large number of places to eat and drink around the city center. A list of restaurants and pubs is available here.
On monday, tuesday and wednesday we will have lunch in the GSSI canteen (~ 50 meters from the workshop venue) that offers a diverse menu (full menu € 9, half menu € 7).
Social dinner at "Locanda Aquilana da Lincosta" : Monday 10
The workshop social dinner will be hosted by "Locanda Aquilana da Lincosta" in the city center. A nice place to enjoy the best recipes of the Abruzzo's tradition.

Visit to the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso: Wednesday 12
Visit to the Gran Sasso National Laboratory, LNGS, the largest underground laboratory in the world for experiments in astroparticle physics, nuclear astrophysics and rare decays. It is located at roughly 20 km from L'Aquila, inside the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, and under the Gran Sasso mountain, below 1400 meters of rock that shield it from cosmic rays.
We will leave with a bus from GSSI around 15:00 and come back around 18:30-19:00.
