The current activities of the Association of Women in Mathematical Physics include:
- Coffee meetings: a regular virtual meeting for informal chatting and networking.
- Diversity reading group: a reading group to discuss research on diversity/inclusion topics.
- Hybrid conferences group: a working group discussing how to promote conferences which admit online participation, and hence are much more inclusive.
- Mentoring program: for women in mathematical physics, from student to postdoc level.
- Shaping the initiative: how to reach out to similar initiatives, include people from all areas of mathematical physics, finding out which initiatives would be appreciated by women in our community, investigate funding possibilities.
- Website: a group working on the dissemination of AWMP activities and project via a website.
- Women in Math Phys events: a working group promoting events supporting women in mathematical physics.
All activities are conducted in small groups, discussing through Slack channels & via zoom, and collecting materials on a shared Dropbox folder. You may join one or more of the working group above by contacting ADD CONTACT .
