Description

Abstract: Superconducting circuits are one of the leading technologies for the implementation of coherent quantum processors. We describe how natural radioactivity (cosmic rays or laboratory contaminations) affects the performance of several types of superconducting qubits. We discuss two successful strategies to overcome such limit for next-generation devices.
