Abstract: The goal of this seminar is to illustrate the rules and fundamental aspects of the preparation of ERC Starting or Consolidator Grant proposals. We will discuss the methods of presentation, the format of the proposals, the evaluation criteria and the main issues that the proposers must face in the elaboration of their projects. In particular, practical advice will be provided in terms of preparing a successful proposal and interview. A Q&A session is foreseen at the end of the seminar to allow the participants additional guidance and recommendations on their particular line of research.
