Abstract: Solid Earth is coupled in many ways with the layers surrounding our planet: electromagnetic fields, heat exchange, gas emissions, ground motion….. The detailed understanding of these coupling mechanism would allow the development of new ways of remote sensing from space of phenomena like earthquakes and other kind of rapid ground motions which escape S.A.R. observations. I will present recent results from experimental and theoretical studies providing sound evidence of the existence of Magnetospheric-Lithospheric coupling in the context of a deterministic model which has been tested against real data collected by ground and space observatories.
