The nature of dark matter (DM) and of the sources of observed high-energy neutrinos are two major open questions of fundamental physics and astrophysics. I will show how they could have a common answer by proving that inelastic scatterings, between sub-GeV DM around super-massive black holes and protons within their jets, could explain neutrinos observed from single blazars, like TXS 0506+056, as well as IceCube's diffuse neutrinos above 100 TeV. I will prove that this proposal is compatible with all laboratory, direct and indirect searches for light DM, discuss its astrophysical uncertainties and its most promising future tests.
