Model Reduction for Parametric Fractional Order Differential Equations

Description
Differential equations of fractional order (in space and/or time) model several well-known phenomena in nature, engineering and other disciplines. From a mathematical point of view, they are interesting also due to the fact that they are non-local operators. This offers an interesting arena for model reduction - if the equation contains parameters and one ins interested in realtime, multi-query or cold computing scenarios. We introduce some recent results concerning the Reduced Basis Method for problems of fractional order.
