Description

Abstrac:

For linear time-invariant systems that are (asymptotically) stable and (strictly) pas-
sive, it is well known that the representation via port-Hamiltonian systems has very good
robustness properties. However, this representation is not unique. In this paper we derive criteria under which the non-uniqueness can be used to obtain optimally robust representations with respect to transient behavior, decay of solutions and (hypo)coercivity measures.
