Course content
Classical geometric and functional inequalities, such as the Isoperimetric, Sobolev, and Brunn-Minkowski inequalities, identify the extremal sets or functions for which equality holds. A natural question (which turns out to be useful in many applications) is: if an object "almost" satisfies the inequality, is it necessarily close to an minimizer? This course explores such quantitative stability inequalities, focusing on the rigorous derivation of sharp stability estimates.
