DESCRIPTION:Axions and axion-like particles (ALPs) are hypothetical\, low-
massparticles predicted by extensions of the Standard Model of particlephy
sics. Initially proposed to address the strong charge-parity (CP)problem i
n Quantum Chromodynamics\, axions have become prominent darkmatter candida
tes\, while ALPs arise naturally in various beyond-StandardModel framework
s\, including string theory. Their extremely weakcouplings to ordinary mat
ter render them elusive\, yet they remaincentral to advancing our understa
nding of the universe’s fundamentalstructure.Experimental efforts to det
ect axions and ALPs encompass a broad arrayof techniques\, including halos
copes\, helioscopes\, laboratory-basedexperiments\, as well as indirect co
nstraints from astrophysical andcosmological observations. These searches
 exploit state-of-the-artdevelopments in resonant cavities\, high-field mag
nets\, andhigh-intensity lasers to explore previously inaccessible paramet
erregions. The ongoing quest for axions and ALPs is not only a test oftheo
retical models but a potential gateway to groundbreaking discoveriesin phy
sics. This talk will provide an overview of the current experimentallandsca
pe\, describe the principal detection methods\, summarize recentfindings\,
and outline future directions in the search for axions andALPs." \n\nhtt
