The field of UHECR astrophysics has witnessed remarkable advancements in the observation of extragalactic cosmic messengers, characterized by a significant increase in both the quantity and quality of data spanning multiple wavelengths—from radio to high-energy gamma rays—and encompassing diverse messengers such as cosmic rays, photons, and neutrinos. These comprehensive multi-wavelength and multi-messenger datasets have been challenging existing models of cosmic-ray propagation and interactions, necessitating similar advancement in our simulation tools.

SimProp emerges as a pivotal simulation framework designed to explore the transport of ultra-high energy cosmic rays. It allows researchers to simulate cosmic ray travel, accounting for losses and the production of secondary particles and diffuse emissions.

The upcoming SimProp meeting aims to serve as a forum for the community to discuss the ongoing development and future prospects of this software. Participants will exchange innovative ideas on the physical applications and enhancements of these simulations, fostering a collaborative approach to tackling the complexities of cosmic ray astrophysics.
